Direct Counsel is seeking an Investment Management Attorney for a distinguished law firm in New York. This role is open to mid-level to senior associates or special counsels (class of 2020 and above) with experience in investment management and fund formation.
Responsibilities Include:
- Advising clients on fund formation and structuring across various sectors, including private equity, hedge funds, credit, venture capital, real estate, secondaries, and LP-side matters.
- Drafting and negotiating offering documents, partnership agreements, and side letters.
- Providing strategic advice on regulatory compliance, including SEC and other filings.
Requirements:
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Bar admission in New York or eligibility to waive in.
- 4 years of experience in investment management or fund formation, with a focus on sophisticated transactions.
- Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
