Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate for Public Agency Clients in Seattle.
An immediate opportunity is available for an associate with 4-5 years of litigation experience to join a team representing public agency clients in Seattle. This role involves handling a wide range of litigation matters including eminent domain and other public sector issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent public agencies in litigation actions, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently and take ownership of significant cases.
- Work effectively as part of a collaborative team and assume significant responsibility early on.
Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of litigation experience with a preference for eminent domain experience or interest.
- Strong academic credentials, research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Admission to the Washington State Bar is required.
Location & Compensation:
- Position based in Seattle.
- Salary range: $185,000 - $210,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
- Associates are eligible for various annual bonuses, including a 15% bonus of base compensation for meeting 1,850 annual billable hours (up to 100 hours of approved pro bono work included).
