Direct Counsel is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Personal Injury Attorney to join a prestigious growing law firm. This role will involve representing clients in personal injury cases, from initial consultations through trial, to achieve the best possible outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing pre-suit operations, personal injury litigation, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to provide high-quality legal representation. Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in personal injury litigation matters, including auto accidents, premises liability, and more.
- Oversee the day-to-day handling of personal injury cases, including pre-suit processes.
- Oversee the legal process from initiation, discovery, and pre-trial motions to trial and post-trial activities.
- Draft and file litigation documents such as pleadings, discovery requests/responses, demands, motions, and legal memoranda.
- Guide clients through every step of the case process, ensuring clarity and understanding.
- Engage with expert witnesses for consultations, report drafting, and the preparation of affidavits.
- Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances, representing clients in all stages of litigation.
- Negotiate favorable settlements for clients while managing and balancing risks and outcomes, maintaining a trial-ready posture for every case.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing with relevant state Bar.
- 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation, with proven trial experience.
- Proven ability to manage a large volume of cases leading to favorable outcomes.
Skills:
- Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a client-first approach.
- Superior writing, research, and oral advocacy skills, with demonstrated success in courtroom settings.
- Familiarity with case management software and legal research tools.
Compensation:
Base range is $100,000 to $150,000, plus draw, usually 33.3% of attorney fees.
