A prestigious law firm is seeking a Professional Development Specialist working out of the Atlanta or Kansas City offices. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the firm's growing professional development function. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Manager of Special Projects to plan and implement the Firm’s attorney related professional development programming. There is also opportunity to support various ad hoc projects as needed that originate in the Office of the Chair. This position is ideal for an individual who is eager to contribute to a diverse range of projects aimed at positively impacting the experience of lawyers practicing law at Polsinelli.
Core Responsibilities
- Support the firm’s professional development function by gathering and organizing information related to a variety of attorney professional development initiatives.
- Collaborate with the following groups – Special Projects, Department Operations, HR, Innovation, Legal Recruiting, Marketing and other internal Polsinelli teams to coordinate and execute a variety of high-impact firm programs and initiatives.
- Develop subject matter expertise sufficient to respond to inquiries regarding a variety of programs aimed at non-shareholder legal practitioners, including Polsinelli’s Shadow Hours and Associate Sabbatical programs.
- Implement performance management processes for legal practitioners across the firm, including annual and interim evaluations in viEval Wave.
- Track participation and pairings for ongoing firm mentoring and programs in collaboration with Department Operations.
- Organize details and coordinate logistics for attorney professional development trainings and other attorney learning initiatives arising in collaboration with Firm's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion leadership and the Women’s Empowerment Committee.
- Collect, analyze and report on participation status, attorney feedback and other key metrics to refine and inform professional development programming.
- Support the Office of the Chair coordinating various ad hoc projects as needed, such as Pro Bono.
