Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Associate to join a highly regarded law firm with a strong presence in California. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-profile commercial real estate transactions, playing an integral role in shaping development projects across the Sacramento region and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent developers, investors, financial institutions, homebuilders, and other real estate professionals in a variety of commercial real estate transactions.
Provide strategic legal counsel on matters related to early-stage development, asset management, financing, acquisitions, leasing, and dispositions.
Work closely with litigators to provide comprehensive legal solutions, though this role is primarily transactional.
Negotiate and draft purchase agreements, loan documents, leases, and other key real estate contracts.
Advise clients on regulatory and compliance matters related to state and federal real estate laws.
Qualifications:
At least three years of experience in real estate law, with a focus on commercial real estate transactions and finance.
Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication, client service, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
