Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Finance Associate with 1-3 years of experience to join a highly regarded law firm’s Real Estate Practice in Charlotte. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex real estate finance transactions in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities- Represent financial institutions, investors, and lenders in commercial real estate finance transactions.
- Structure and negotiate loan agreements for office buildings, shopping centers, hotels, industrial facilities, and multifamily housing.
- Draft and review loan documents, purchase agreements, and related transactional documents.
- Conduct due diligence, including title and survey review.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to manage deal flow and execution.
- 1-3 years of real estate finance experience.
- Experience representing financial institutions, lenders, or investors in commercial real estate transactions preferred.
- Familiarity with CMBS and CLO lending is a plus.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Base Salary: $225,000 - $260,000, depending on experience.
