What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trial Attorney position at Direct Counsel?
Direct Counsel has partnered with a highly reputable law firm located in Granada Hills, CA seeking a 5–10-year experienced litigation/trial attorney. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of solid litigation experience and have some trial experience. Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings, discovery, memoranda, motions and other legal documents
- Handle litigation matters from inception through trial, including taking depositions, attending mediations and settlement negotiations
- Make independent decisions and advising clients on pre-litigation and litigation matters
- Work with experts
- Conduct legal research
- Other projects, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Motivated with the desire to achieve top level results
- The ability to work well with a team as well as work well independently
Required Experience for the position:
- Must have a minimum of 4 plus years of solid experience in litigation in State courts
Compensation:
- Up to $165k/yr salary plus Bonuses and Benefits
