Direct Counsel is seeking a Trust & Estate Planning Associate to join a top-tier Estate Planning Practice Group in Madison. This is an outstanding opportunity for a junior associate to develop their skills in sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, and wealth management.
Qualifications:
- 1-4 years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and wealth transfer strategies
- Background in:
- Estate plan and business succession planning for high-net-worth individuals
- Charitable giving and tax-exempt organization planning
- Estate, gift, and generation-skipping tax planning
- Probate proceedings for taxable and non-taxable estates
- Federal gift and estate tax returns
- Strong document drafting, communication, and interpersonal skills
- JD from an ABA-approved law school and active Wisconsin Bar membership (or willingness to obtain timely admission)
- Strong academic credentials and a team-oriented mindset
