Courier

Hello, we are a reputable and established courier company who has been in business with the same ownership for over 29 years.

We currently have a position available that includes routes from Wednesday to Friday during the day. Guaranteed income for those days is $550 (estimated 260 miles, /- 17 hours), with MANY opportunities to make more money. Drivers are required to be available during the day beyond their routes and will be paid additionally for any other work they do. The job is a mix of routes, which is where the guaranteed income comes from, and unscheduled deliveries, which are opportunities to make more money. The position requires one weekend of work every 4 weeks, on a rotating schedule.

Drivers receive a fuel surcharge on top of regular pay, to account for changing gas prices.

The items we deliver range in size from one envelope to a vanload of supplies.

Our couriers drive their own vehicles, unless a van is needed, which we would then provide.

Almost all of our deliveries can be done in a car, and most of the deliveries are local.

We also get longer runs, to Chicago, Indy, and other locations within a 300 mile radius, which are excellent opportunities to earn more money.

Much of our business is in professional or medical offices. We also do deliveries to airports, factories, construction sites, residences, etc.

Flexibility is key with this job. You must be able to cover your shift, both the routes and the runs that come up. There is money to be made if you can be available at other times. There are often routes and shifts to pick up when we are busy or when other drivers go on vacation.

Drivers must be over the age of 25 and have a good driving record (for insurance reasons), must have a valid driver's license, and a reliable, presentable vehicle that is covered by insurance.

Cars that get good gas mileage make their drivers more money.

Drivers need to be able to lift /- 30lbs, and be comfortable driving at night.

Many of our smaller deliveries originate and end in South Bend or Mishawaka, so a driver living in South Bend is optimal.

This is a contracted position. Drivers receive a 1099. We do not take out for taxes or offer health insurance at this time.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations.
• Load and unload packages, ensuring items are secured for transit.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
• Adhere to traffic laws and company policies while driving.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
