Description : Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced roll to roll print operator in our large format printing department. The operator will be responsible for the day to day print production and maintenance of the printers. The position requires a person who is very organized and great in prioritizing, organizing and planning in order to see each job through completion and be able to meet given deadlines.
First and Second Shift Opportunities available :
1st Shift : 6 : 00AM-2 : 30PM
2nd Shift : 2PM-10PM
Job Responsibilities
Read and understand job tickets to ensure production is produced according to specification
Perform quality checks according to established procedures to ensure high quality of production
Monitor printer efficiencies & speed to ensure production levels meet or exceed standards & make appropriate adjustments
Assist in workflow and process improvement planning
Must have the ability to maintain organization with multiple projects, prioritize workflow, adhere to timelines, and meet deadlines
Observe machines in operation and make adjustments as needed
Identify workable production solutions when troubleshooting
Ensure deadlines are maintained and company objectives are met
Maintain printer and inventory supplies as needed
Must be prompt, courteous, professional and take pride in work
Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures
Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and area
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements : Key Skills
Ability to set up and operate various roll to roll printers such as UV, Latex, Dye-sublimation, EFI / VuTek experience is preferred.
Working knowledge of current RIP software.
Knowledge on large format printers (roll and flatbed printers), roll laminators and two axis digital cutters
A strong attention to detail along with a sharp focus on quality
Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
Able to multitask well, remain organized, and handle many projects at one time
Hardworking, assertive, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization
Ability to react quickly and make continuous adjustments to provide top quality products
Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed
Forklift experience
Bilingual (Spanish / English) is a plus
Perform other duties as assigned

Experience
Minimum of two years of digital printing industry experience
High School Diploma
Physical Requirements
Mobility : Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including an entire shift, while operating and monitoring printing equipment.
Strength : Ability to lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds regularly. Occasionally lift or move items exceeding 50 pounds with assistance or equipment.
Manual Dexterity : Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate machinery, adjust printer settings, handle materials, and perform maintenance tasks.
Visual Acuity : Ability to read and interpret job tickets, monitor print quality, and check colors, registration, and alignment with precision.
Hearing and Communication : Ability to hear machine sounds, alarms, and verbal instructions, and communicate effectively with team members in a production environment.
Postural Activities : Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and crouching to load and unload materials, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot equipment.
Environmental Tolerance : Ability to work in a production environment with exposure to noise, fumes, ink, solvents, and varying temperatures.
Coordination and Precision : Ability to perform detailed tasks accurately, troubleshoot equipment issues, and make precise adjustments during printing operations.
Safety Awareness : Capability to follow safety protocols and handle equipment, chemicals, and tools in accordance with company and industry safety standards.
Cognitive Requirements : Ability to focus, prioritize tasks, and adapt to a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
