Operator/Laborer Job Description

Job Summary:

The Operator/Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of manual labor tasks and operating machinery or equipment to support daily operations. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety guidelines and work instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery, tools, or equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform general labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, and assembling materials.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials, products, or equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe work environment.
• Inspect equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the worksite or production area.
• Support other team members with tasks as needed to ensure workflow efficiency.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and complete tasks in a timely manner.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required).
• Previous experience in a labor or operator role is a plus but not required.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and/or heavy machinery.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment:

• May involve exposure to loud noises, dust, chemicals, or extreme temperatures.
• Requires standing, bending, lifting, and working on feet for extended periods.
• May require working overtime, weekends, or varying shifts depending on business needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.36 - $22.46 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
