What are the responsibilities and job description for the VRV Applications Engineer position at Direct Expansion Solutions?
DXS is an engineering sales firm of technically advanced, energy efficient HVAC equipment. We are the industry experts in variable refrigerant flow (VRF/VRV), air-source heat pumps (ASHPs), ventilation, and complementary systems for high efficiency and low carbon buildings. Our services cover the full lifecycle of HVAC equipment, from estimating to design to start-up and beyond with ongoing training and preventative maintenance.
DXS is seeking an applications and warranty engineer focused on ensuring the success of projects with Daikin's flagship all-electric VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume) technology. Duties include assisting in project turnovers and owner demonstrations, including reviewing the design and sequence of operation of the VRV system to ensure optimal operation and efficiency. The applications & warranty engineer will also manage and navigate VRV system failures, including deploying resources and analysing results such as operational data and compressor tear-down reports to determine the root cause of failures. The engineer will also work closely with DXS management to develop strategies on digitally driven services and maintenance of VRV systems. Finally, the applications and warranty engineer will assist with some internal R&D and testing of Daikin VRV products and of other manufacturers and components that Daikin VRV can integrate with.
Our team is composed of outgoing and determined engineering sales staff, all with deep technical knowledge of our systems mixed with a drive to educate and to build relationships through trust and entertainment. We are seeking someone with similar technical skills and interest, with focus on the technology and its success and development, supporting the sales teams.
