Inspectors are responsible for inspecting systems, job sites and materials to ensure the work meets quality standards, codes, and design. Responsible for timely reporting and tracking of potential problems.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Manage and direct crews· Oversees daily activities, assignments, jobs, and work orders· Provide timely and accurate routing of daily workload· Ensure assigned projects are completed to specifications and within deadlines· Perform regular Quality Control and Safety inspections· Communicate with staff, crews, sub-contractors, and customers· Work with customers to resolve service-related complaints· Investigate, document, and resolve damage claims· Conduct vehicle and tool inspections per company guidelines· Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation guidelines and requirements· Ensure all safety training is completed per company guidelines· Audit invoices for accuracy· Complete change orders as needed· Provide on-call service as needed· Evaluate plans and specifications to ensure conformance with regulations· Conduct field inspections of site and materials· Report violations to appropriate supervisor· Maintain inspection records and documentation· All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:· Excellent verbal and communication skills· Strong attention to detail and accuracy· Flexibility to work beyond 40 hours per week and weekends· Working knowledge of underground machinery· Knowledge of city codes such as permits, restoration and traffic control· Proficiency with computers and software applications· Ability to work independently on assigned duties· Strong team and collaborative skills· Strong time management and organizational skills· Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines· Ability to read and understand Engineered Work prints.
Qualifications:
Education: HS diploma or equivalent
Experience: 1-2 years’ experience supervising field operations. Experience in construction related to OSP Telecommunications Construction.

Required Licenses or Certifications: Operator’s License, DCL preferred, OSHA-10 preferred.
Working Conditions: Work conducted in a standard office environment with the potential to work outdoors at job sites. Often exposed to sounds and noise levels from equipment that are distracting and uncomfortable. Required to wear protective equipment when working at outdoor constructing sites.
