What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Power - Warehouse Associate position at Direct Power?
Purpose of Position
To provide vital support in inventory management while physically handling inbound and outbound items to match job scheduling thus supporting the Power Organization.
Functional Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient warehouse.
- Prepare materials required for technicians to conduct jobs based on BOM’s.
- Stage equipment for loading
- Help stage antennas and other devices for field deployment.
- Clean out, prep and load vehicles for deployment in a timely manner.
- Accurately record and maintain inventory stock items.
- Determine stock items requirements.
- Confirm accuracy of items received.
- Pick-up equipment from customer warehousing facilities as needed.
- Deliver material and equipment to job sites when needed.
Other
- Identify and present process improvement opportunities.
- Embrace and drive change that results in greater effectiveness and efficiency of work.
Knowledge – Skills – Abilities
- Must exhibit a high level of safe forklift operations abilities.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean motor vehicle record.
- Exhibits exceptional housekeeping habits to maintain a clean and orderly warehouse.
- Self-starter who takes initiative; forward thinking to identify "what's next."
- Positive attitude
- Responsive to internal and external customers
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Mechanically inclined
- Familiarization with electrical equipment & concepts a plus
- Pass Background, Drug Test and clean MVR driving record.
- Must be able to exert pressure to regularly maneuver 75 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to travel and deploy to project sites on an ad hoc basis.
- Ability to work in inclement weather when required (heat in summer and cold in winter)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
