Job Summary:
The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for recruiting, managing, and mentoring a high-performing team of loan officers. This role requires a strategic leader with deep industry knowledge, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record in mortgage sales and business development. The VP of Sales will play a key role in scaling Direct Rate’s mortgage operations while ensuring an outstanding experience for both clients and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Talent Development:
- Identify, recruit, and onboard top-performing loan officers to expand Direct Rate’s market presence.
- Implement training programs and professional development initiatives to ensure loan officers meet and exceed sales goals.
- Foster a high-performance sales culture through coaching, mentorship, and motivation.
- Sales Leadership & Strategy:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive loan origination growth and maximize revenue.
- Set clear performance targets and monitor key metrics to ensure loan officers meet production goals.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to optimize lead generation and conversion rates.
- Business Development & Market Expansion:
- Build and maintain relationships with real estate agents, brokers, and referral partners to generate new business opportunities.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions to position Direct Rate for continued success.
- Represent Direct Rate at networking events, industry conferences, and community engagements.
- Operational Excellence & Compliance:
- Ensure loan officers adhere to all federal, state, and company lending guidelines.
- Work closely with compliance and underwriting teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and performance tracking.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven ability to recruit, train, and manage high-performing loan officers.
- Strong understanding of mortgage products, guidelines, and industry regulations.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
- Strong sales acumen with a track record of exceeding revenue targets.
- Exceptional communication and relationship management abilities.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and drive results.
- Licensing & Certifications:
- Must hold a valid NMLS license.(Can acquire while on Job)
