Position Overview:
As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the ICU, Medical, Surgical, and Telemetry units within our healthcare facility. You will work closely with the nursing staff to ensure the highest quality of patient care is being provided. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the ICU, Medical, Surgical, and Telemetry units
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff and provide feedback and coaching as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create and implement patient care plans
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards
- Manage staffing and scheduling for the units, including hiring, training, and scheduling of nurses
- Participate in budget planning and management for the units
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and other departments within the facility
- Handle any patient and family complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in healthcare technology and procedures
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment for both patients and staff
Qualifications:
- Associates degree is required
- Current and valid nursing license in the state of employment (North Carolina)
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in ICU, Medical, Surgical, and Telemetry nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing leadership/management role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in electronic medical record systems
- CPR and ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire
