We are seeking a skilled Robot Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair robotic systems at customer sites. This role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience with industrial robots, and excellent problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in automation, robotics, or mechatronics and a willingness to travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities :
Install, program, and commission robotic systems at customer facilities.
Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on robotic equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues to minimize downtime.
Provide technical support and training to customers on robot operation and maintenance.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system performance and reliability.
Document service activities, including maintenance logs, reports, and customer feedback.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
Qualifications :
Education : Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience : 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation or robotics preferred.
Technical Skills :
Proficiency with robot programming (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, UR).
Understanding of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and control systems a major PLUS.
Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
Basic networking and software troubleshooting skills.
Soft Skills : Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
Other Requirements :
Ability to travel extensively to customer sites.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with robotic welding, material handling, or assembly applications.
Knowledge of industrial safety standards and procedures.
Previous field service experience in manufacturing or automation.
