Summary:
In support of the world’s leading medical relief charity, the Partnerships and Philanthropy Specialist will develop and foster relationships with current and prospective individual donors to support the mission of Direct Relief.
Position Overview:
The Specialist is a key contributor to advancing Direct Relief’s fundraising efforts by supporting donor engagement and ensuring operational excellence. The position is part of a mission-driven team dedicated to improving lives through impactful philanthropy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Donor Engagement
Support the daily issuance of donation receipts and acknowledgement letters
Provide supporting information to team members including donor lists and gift reports
Conduct donor research and create profiles
In coordination with Donor Experience Specialist, distribute and respond to donor inquiries and requests as needed
2. Events
Support preparation, planning and execution of fundraising events and donor visits, including donor meetings and stewardship events
Assist with event preparation and day-of-event duties
3. Administration
Assist in maintaining complete and accurate constituent records including fundraiser actions
Assist in processing incoming donor mail including identifying directing correspondence to the appropriate team members
Organize and maintain department files on the shared drive
Assist with operational reviews, activity reports, and other initiatives as directed
Perform and track bequest administration tasks
4. Project Coordination
Coordinate and support activities among team members performing database operations, donor experience, and donor engagement activities
Other duties as assigned to support the achievement of the department’s goals.
Required Qualifications
Three years of relevant experience; four-year college degree preferred
Experience with databases and/or constituent relationship management (CRM) systems, Raiser’s Edge: NXT preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and cloud collaboration platforms
Professional attitude and ability to contribute to a positive, respectful work culture

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively, with attention to details

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
