Pharmacist
My client provides comprehensive management solutions within the pharmaceutical and healthcare vertical. They are seeking to hire a Pharmacist responsible for performing the daily operations of accurately and safely fulfilling prescription orders. Provide optimal customer care; review orders for drug interactions, appropriate dosage, allergies and monitor usage patterns offering counseling as needed.
Hours: Monday - Friday and one Saturday a month
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily operations; prescription processing accuracy, workflow, quotas for production and deadlines
- Support onboarding, training and performance management of technicians
- Acquire prescription orders as allowable by law
- Prior to dispensing medication; review new prescription orders for accurate dosage, allergies, possible drug interactions and contraindications
- Partner with technicians ensuring dispensing accuracy, upholding delivery schedules and utilizing safety protocols
- Maintain and ensure compliance with DEA policies/procedures, regulatory agencies, accreditation standards and local, state and federal rules/regulations
- Available for consultations and provide information for all drugs (non-prescription and prescription)
- Monitor usage patterns (over and/or under) and provide counseling as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and patrons to provide optimal care and achieve the best outcome
- Support patient management and development of patient care plans
- Maintain record keeping and perform quality assurance reviews
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD
- Min. 1 years of experience as a Pharmacist
- Current unrestricted license to practice pharmacy and in good standing with the state board
- Multi-state unrestricted licenses to practice pharmacy and/or ability to acquire additional licenses as required
- Proficiency in clinical interpretation; drug-food interactions, allergies, drug-disease and drug-drug
- Training in Confidentiality, HIPPA and Fraud Waste and Abuse
- Knowledge/Understanding of medication information systems and/or medication claims processing systems
- Knowledge/Understanding of medication, products, supplies and regimens
- Exceptional Customer Service and Communication skills
- Strong telephone and decision-making skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Offering:
- Base $100,000 - $120,000 (based on experience) Bonus
