We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Fraud Prevention Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring transactions, identifying suspicious activity, and implementing strategies to mitigate risk. Your work will be critical in protecting our business and customers from fraudulent activity.
Responsibilities
- Transaction Monitoring: Continuously monitor and analyze transactional data to identify patterns and potential instances of fraud.
- Investigation & Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations of suspicious activities, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on fraud trends, incidents, and outcomes for management and compliance purposes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and customer service, to implement effective fraud prevention strategies.
- Process Improvement: Develop and refine fraud detection procedures and tools to enhance our overall security framework.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements related to fraud prevention and risk management.
- Continuous Learning: Stay informed about emerging fraud tactics and technologies to keep our defense mechanisms current.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Criminal Justice, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in fraud prevention, risk analysis, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with large datasets.
- Familiarity with fraud detection software and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, data visualization platforms).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in fraud prevention is a plus.
