We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our team and provide technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for our organization's IT systems. The IT Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all computers, networks, and software operate efficiently, providing assistance to employees, and resolving IT-related issues in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Provide technical support to employees, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot system failures and diagnose hardware or software malfunctions.
- Set up and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and Wi-Fi networks.
- Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and security patches.
- Assist with IT asset management, keeping inventory of equipment and software licenses.
- Respond to help desk tickets, emails, and phone calls to provide prompt IT assistance.
- Train employees on best IT practices, cybersecurity, and software usage.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to improve system efficiency and security.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs.
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Ability to install, configure, and manage printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
- Knowledge of IT security practices, antivirus software, and data protection.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (preferred).
