Packaging Machine Operator

Job Description:
Location: Fort Smith, AR
Pay: $15.00/hour to start — with a raise after 160 hours
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire Opportunity

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Packaging Machine Operator to support one of our valued clients. This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must have at least one year of related experience and a verifiable work history. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packaging machines to ensure safe and efficient production
• Detect and report equipment malfunctions to supervisors
• Perform minor adjustments such as setting guides, clearing jams, or opening valves
• Inspect packaged products to ensure quality and accuracy
• Monitor product flow and maintain accurate counts
• Replenish materials such as cartons, labels, and ink
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using proper cleaning procedures
• Operate foot pedals, buttons, and levers to perform packaging tasks
• Lift and stack cases weighing 20–40 pounds as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related experience required
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must have a strong and verifiable work history
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs consistently
• This is not an entry-level position
