What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Manager position at DIRECT Staffing Solutions?
The Director of Finance oversees financial management responsibilities of four (4) plant controllers with our Client, in the following areas:
· Overall accountability for plant finance and reporting, including but not limited to Oversight of Working Capital.
· Oversight of Commercial Issue Management.
· Oversight of Plant Financial and Management reporting; Creating, Monitoring, Enforcing and Adhering to Internal Controls, Systems and Policies.
· Planning Organizing & Coordinating the annual external audit of the company’s financial records and statements and ensuring it is performed within established timeframes and guidelines.
· Execute on special projects and participates as the financial representative in certain key cross functional committees.
· Review and recommend enhancement to business practices, processes, and operation support at plant level to improve efficiencies.
· Perform necessary Group Finance functions including implementation of standardized policies/procedures, controller training & development and operations review.
Primary Roles/Responsibilities:
· Demonstrated financial leadership, managing project timelines and holding teams accountable to deliverables. Establish milestones, evaluate effectiveness towards objectives and redirecting if necessary.
· Collaborate with the senior management team on all financial aspects of the organization; manage project budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic plans.
· Report on a regular basis the company’s status against, and ability to meet, its strategic and operational objectives.
· Collect and analyze cost data versus budget for ascertaining financial performance and risk assessment.
· Manage CAPEX, tooling and other elements of cash flow impacts.
· Ensure open commercial issues are identified and actions to correct are initiated.
· Prepare reports and evaluations for individual projects.
· Develop accounting policies and procedures relevant to accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and project tracking.
· Cash flow forecasting and management including but not limited to working capital forecasting, KPI accountability and tracking.
· Monitor legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to financial reporting and operations.
· Manage the company's insurance program to ensure adequate coverage at a reasonable premium, applicable to Mexican operations.
· Develop and maintain effective relationships with professional organizations such as consultancy firms and auditors.
· Facilitate and oversee any auditing conducted by third parties to ensure effective resolution and swift closure of auditing activities.
· Lead and supervise finance department on accounting, reporting, internal controls, and other financial matters.
· Recruit, train and motivate direct and indirect reports.
· Investigate variances in reporting, internal controls, and general accounting; deploy measures to resolve variances.
· Provide general counsel to the President and Plant Managers.
· Documentation and/or writing of plant performance summaries for executives with focus on major business drivers (for the past and in the future), apprise management of financial and business risks in each plant.
Key Must Have’s:
Accounting Degree mandatory, master’s degree in accounting, highly preferred.
Approximately 10 years Leadership level accounting is required for this role in a manufacturing industry, highly preferably with automotive exposure.
Should come with strong accounting skills in understanding: A/P, A/R, General Ledger, how to prepare financial statements, budgeting, costing, inventory mgt and variance analysis.
JD Edward ERP experience would be a strong plus, minimum requirement is to understand an ERP system for a mfg. environment. ERP implementation
Advanced excel skill set, Understand how to use and present with PowerPoint.
Experience with MRP management (Material Requirements Planning).
MUST understand balance sheet AND Cash Management Projections
Must communicate clearly upwards and downwards within the organization.
Fully understand the financial data and do your due diligence to ensure it is accurate and correct.
Be able to vet the financial data to ensure it is correct
Be able to have oversight and hold people accountable
Have an urgency in the business and show ownership over what they are doing/controlling.
Supervisory experience in the management of subordinates
Experience in weekly Pro forma (pro forma statements summarize the projected future status of a company, based on the current financial statements) and MTD forecasting preparation and oversight along with driving predictability, integrity and accuracy of the process.
Experience leading the budget process, setting standards, assumptions, foreign exchange rates, labor and overhead standards.
Ability to perform under pressure and time constraints.
Analytical, team-player, strong communication skills.
Team player who is a good cultural fit is very important in this role.
Salary : $130,000 - $140,000
