About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Labor & Employment Associate to join a leading practice group san Francisco. This position is ideal for candidates with substantial experience in employment litigation and counseling, with a strong understanding of California employment laws.
Responsibilities:
- Represent employers in labor and employment litigation, including claims of discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful termination.
- Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including employee handbooks, policies, and risk mitigation.
- Draft motions, pleadings, and other litigation-related documents.
- Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to requests, depositions, and preparation for trial or arbitration.
- Assist with trial preparation and actively participate in mediations, arbitrations, and other forms of dispute resolution.
- Partner with colleagues across practice areas to deliver strategic legal counsel to clients.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Significant experience with California employment law, including litigation and counseling.
- Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school.
- Excellent research, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Active admission to the California Bar.
