Job Description:
We are seeking an individual to step in as a Controller to manage and lead our accounting team. Ideally, this will be an individual who is positive, has a high level of personal accountability, enjoys working with a team towards a common goal, and is highly adaptable to new ideas and technology. The ideal person should have a strong technical accounting background. Experience in the construction industry is a plus, but is not required. The ideal candidate must genuinely love people and want to lead, manage, and contribute to our growth by exemplifying the spirit of who we are.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Manage the billing, office administration, and purchasing personnel.
- Preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and coordinate tax filings.
- Manage and lead the yearly financial review
- Manage Direct Traffic’s prequalification process
Qualifications:
- 3 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
- Advanced degree in Accounting.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with creating financial statements.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.

- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Finds comfort and enjoyment in improving processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
