Overview:

We are a rapidly growing, highly reputable Window and Door distributor based in Sarasota, Florida, specializing in premium window and door products for residential and light commercial construction projects. We are seeking experienced and driven Outside Sales Representatives to spearhead sales efforts for our growing company. This role reports to the Vice President and is perfect for professionals with a strong Florida project manager background—particularly those with expertise in construction, glazing, fenestration, or window systems—who are ready to leverage their technical knowledge and sales skills in a dynamic and lucrative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Development & Strategy:

Drive new business and maintain relationships with key accounts, including home builders, general contractors, and commercial developers in your assigned territory. Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to expand market share.

  • In-Field Consultations:

Utilize your construction expertise to conduct site visits, assess project requirements, and offer tailored window and door solutions. Advise clients on the optimal product selections, installation practices, and code compliance, ensuring the highest standards for performance and safety.

  • Client Engagement & Product Demonstrations:

Conduct engaging product demonstrations, leveraging samples and literature to showcase our premium window and door systems. Build strong rapport and educate clients on the technical aspects and benefits of our products.

  • Lead Generation & Market Penetration:

Identify and cultivate new leads through proactive prospecting and networking. Travel within your territory to meet with potential clients, attend industry events, and promote the company’s offerings.

  • Customer Relationship Management:

Develop long-term, trusted relationships with clients by providing exceptional service, resolving issues, and offering continued support throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Sales Administration & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and project progress in our CRM. Provide regular updates and collaborate with sales management to forecast sales and track progress against targets.

  • Collaboration & Support:

Work closely with internal teams—Sales, Accounting, and Customer Service—to ensure smooth order processing, timely deliveries, and effective resolution of customer inquiries and service requests.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience in Construction & Sales:

At least 3-5 years of experience in construction, with a focus on glazing, fenestration, or window and door systems. A strong understanding of the Florida construction lifecycle from foundation to finish is essential. Previous sales experience in a related industry (glass, glazing, windows, doors) will be highly regarded.

  • Technical Expertise:

In-depth knowledge of window, door, and glazing systems—including impact-resistant windows, storefronts, and laminated insulated glass. Experience working with residential and light commercial builders is a significant advantage.

  • Sales Excellence:

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment. A self-starter with excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Project Management Mindset:

Ability to think strategically and manage projects from initial inquiry through to completion. Experience working closely with contractors, project managers, and superintendents to ensure successful project outcomes.

  • Travel & Mobility:

Must have suitable reliable transportation and be able to travel regularly within the assigned territory (Home office is in Sarasota, available territories throughout Florida) and attend client meetings, construction sites, and industry events.
