The firm’s Real Estate group is recognized as a prominent entity in retail leasing, adeptly representing numerous national and global retailers as well as landlords in transactions across the United States. This role presents a unique opportunity to advance your career within a collaborative, innovative team while working on significant retail leasing matters that shape the commercial real estate landscape.Responsibilities : Negotiate and draft retail lease agreements, ensuring favorable terms for clients.Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and tailor lease agreements accordingly.Provide legal counsel on a variety of real estate matters, including lease interpretations and dispute resolutions.Engage in transactional real estate work and contribute to broader real estate projects as needed.Maintain a strong awareness of market trends and legal developments impacting retail leasing.Qualifications : Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Barred in the state of the office they are submitting their application.At least 10 years of legal experience, along with 5-10 years of substantial experience in negotiating retail leases.In-house retail leasing experience is a plus.Experience in other asset classes (office, lab, industrial) and in transactional real estate work is beneficial.Outstanding academic credentials with excellent written and verbal communication skills.Comparable law firm experience preferred.Client Profile : Our Real Estate group works with a diverse clientele, including major national and global retailers and landlords, providing them with expert legal guidance in retail leasing transactions. Compensation : Salary is estimated at $160 per hour, contingent upon experience level and location, with an expectation of approximately 1600 billable hours.The location of this position is flexible and can be based in : Boston, Hartford, Houston, New York, Washington DC, or Orange County and will be paid hourly.
