We are seeking a strategic, creative, and detail-oriented Social Media Manager to lead and grow our digital presence across Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and more. This role will oversee the content strategy, production pipeline, and engagement efforts for both Directed IRA and Mat Sorensen’s personal brand. You will work closely with the marketing team, video editors, and leadership to create content that educates, inspires, and converts.
- Develop and execute social media strategies that grow audience, engagement, and leads across both brands.
- Plan, schedule, and post daily content, including short-form video, reels, carousels, quotes, and educational posts.
- Repurpose webinars, podcasts, live streams, and video content into platform-specific social media assets.
- Write compelling captions, hooks, and headlines aligned with each brand’s voice and audience.
- Monitor social performance analytics, report on KPIs, and adjust strategies based on data insights.
- Actively engage with followers, reply to comments and messages, and build community relationships.
- Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and finance/alternative investing news.
- Coordinate social media campaigns for launches, events, webinars, and new content releases.
- 2 years managing social media for a brand, company, or public figure (experience in finance, investing, or education is a plus).
- Proven success in growing and engaging audiences on Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other key platforms.
- Excellent copywriting, storytelling, and content creation skills—especially for short-form video and captions.
- Strong understanding of content strategy, SEO basics, and social media optimization (SMO).
- Proficiency with tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using social media management and reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple brands with different tones and objectives.
- A creative self-starter who thrives on collaboration but can work independently.
- Experience with YouTube channel management, including thumbnails and optimization.
- Familiarity with self-directed IRAs, alternative assets, or private investing.
- Podcast promotion, influencer marketing, or campaign management experience.
- Light video editing or design capabilities.
