Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Resident Advisor will onsite supervision and support to residents, as well as oversee the safety and security of the facility.
Essential Functions
oFacilitate all intakes for new residents, including collecting data, inspecting resident belongings, and orienting residents to house expectations and guidelines.
oProvide Residents with a list of house rules.
oLiaise with the housekeeper to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate residents needs.
oConduct room inspections to ensure Residents are properly maintaining their area, clean and neat manner per house rules.
oEnsure safety and security within the house at all times.
oProvide administrative support by answering the phone and greeting visitors and volunteers, ensuring that they have a positive experience.
oCheck in with Residents who are on-site to ensure Resident safety and welfare.
oRespond to resident complaints in a timely and professional manner.
oAssist with conflict resolution in coordination with Resident Case Manager, always aiming to maintain a fair, positive, and supportive culture.
oSensitive and responsive to the cultural differences among the agencys client population
oActively participate in a quality improvement project
Competency Requirements
Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
Basic computer skills including data entry.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Effective problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
A collaborative, positive, and mature approach.
Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse preferred.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Additional Requirements
Department of Justice / Fingerprint clearance (Live Scan)
Tuberculosis clearance
Proof of legal eligibility to work in the United States
