FLAGGER/TRAFFIC CONTROLLER for Directional Traffic LLC
Directional Traffic LLC’s mission is to be the leader in technology and safety for all temporary worksites on the road in the states of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. We are currently seeking hard-working, dependable, safety-oriented, team players to join our growing company.
Position Summary: The Flagger assists with the set up and tear down of the traffic pattern in addition to directing traffic through the work zone in a safe and efficient manner.
Reports To: Operations Manager/ Traffic Control Manager
Job Description: What's a typical day like? Directional Traffic LLC operates with a flexible schedule, meaning that start and end times vary per site. Each crew member will receive a schedule daily detailing their assignment for the following day. Directional Traffic LLC Flaggers travel to the worksite where they assist the Traffic Manager with deploying the traffic pattern. The Flagger directs traffic through the worksite utilizing Automated Flagger Assistance Devices (when applicable) and at the end of the day, the Flagger assists with removal of the traffic pattern from the roadway and returns home. Hours vary per day. Workdays may range between 4 & 12 hours per day and may exceed those hours in certain occasions.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work long and flexible hours.
- Ability to follow directions and complete assigned tasks.
- Ability to recognize and warn others of dangerous situations.
- Ability to drive DOT certified vehicles as well as operate arrow boards, message boards, and light towers preferred.
- Reliable Transportation
- Be punctual to work, as others are dependent on us to start their job.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude while working in a team environment and be able to communicate clear and precise directions to other crew members.
- Some travel may be required.
- Availability to work a minimum of five days a week.
- Most conform to “Drug Free Workplace” policies
- Ability to operate Automated Flagger Assistance Devices (Training Provided)
Physical Requirements:·
- Ability to lift objects up to 50lbs in weight.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.·

- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Available for work Monday through Friday.
- Assist with set up and tear down of the traffic pattern.
- Direct traffic through the work zone in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist the Traffic Manager.
- Complete all tasks as assigned by Directional Traffic LLC management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
