DVS is seeking an Associate Penetration Tester to support a large DoD team. The work location will be Fort Huachuca, AZ, and will support cutting-edge technology in an enterprise environment.
Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting simulated attacks on Department of the Army information systems to identify and exploit vulnerabilities, thereby enhancing the security posture throughout the continental United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform penetration testing on networks, applications, and systems to identify security weaknesses
- Document findings, including vulnerabilities and risks, and provide actionable recommendations for remediation
- Conduct post-exploitation analysis and simulate real-world attacks to assess the effectiveness of defensive measures
- Develop and maintain scripts, tools, or techniques to enhance testing capabilities
- Keep up to date with the latest Cyber Security trends, attack techniques, and tools used in penetration testing
- Collaborate with other cyber professionals, including red and blue teams, and engage with Law Enforcement, Counterintelligence LNOs, and intelligence professionals to understand adversarial tactics
- Assist in creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and testing methodologies
- Familiar with a wide range of penetration testing and vulnerability assessment tools and techniques
- Complete other duties/responsibilities as assigned
Minium Qualifications
- HS 2 years' experience, or AA/AS, or BA/BS in Cyber Security or related field
- Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain
- IAT II certification (Security CE or equivalent) at hire
- CSSP-AU certification (Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), or equivalent) at hire
Physical and Mental Qualifications:
- Maintain focus and awareness throughout scheduled working hours.
- Perform tasks requiring prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk, utilizing a computer, mouse, and keyboard.
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds as needed.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
- Quickly learn and retain routine tasks and processes.
- Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, business correspondence proficiency, and self-management capabilities.
