We are seeking a highly skilled Junior HR Coordinator to work in the Roslyn/Arington VA area.
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Junior HR Coordinator for our federal sector client, you will:
- Perform operational processes pertaining to Personnel Actions, Payroll, Benefits, or Document Management
- Work independently on one or more tasks such as: perform payroll research and resolve discrepancies, process recertifications, process leave adjustments, process VLTP donations, process non-pay impacting personnel actions, correct SINQ errors, process FEHB, FEGLI, and TSP elections or changes, disposition official personnel files
- Collaborate with fellow HR Processors as needed to resolve complex inquiries or requests
- Maintain required forms, records, and files pertaining to HR transactions
- Provide administrative support to multiple stakeholders (employees, managers, etc.) while maintaining a high attention to detail
- Manage high volume of both inbound and outbound phone calls and emails with employees.
Qualifications Required:
- 1-year professional work experience in human resources, administration, customer service, workflow management or other relevant field
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks and priorities, and work within time constraints
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently as well as with a remote team
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
- Bachelor's degree OR one of the following substitutions:
- Associate's Degree plus four years of relevant work experience
- Six years of relevant work experience
Preferred:
- Minimum of 2 years prior knowledge and experience using Federal HR systems (NFC, SPPS, Empower, webTA/GovTA, eOPF, etc.) for transactional processing
Physical and Mental Qualifications:
- Maintain focus and awareness throughout scheduled working hours.
- Perform tasks requiring prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk, utilizing a computer, mouse, and keyboard.
- Lift and move objects weighing up to 15 pounds as needed.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
- Quickly learn and retain routine tasks and processes.
- Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, business correspondence proficiency, and self-management capabilities.
