We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer - Senior to work onsite in Sierra Vista AZ.
Job Summary :
The Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring the organization's Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure and related systems are well maintained and operate reliably and securely. This role will perform regular systems and security monitoring, provisioning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. The Network Engineer will perform administration, operations, maintenance, and support of LAN infrastructure Ethernet switches and related systems. They are also responsible for following relevant processes, procedures, and standards. Additionally, the Intermediate Network Engineer will provide technical support related to assigned systems within their organization and to local network enterprise customers as needed. They also handle patches and upgrades to ensure that systems are maximally efficient, effective, and secure.
Required skills :
- High School Diploma and a minimum of 6 years of direct, relevant professional work experience OR Associate's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field from a nationally accredited educational institution and a minimum of 6 years of direct, relevant professional work experience.
- Security certification
- Network device configuration fundamentals.
- Network troubleshooting fundamentals.
- LAN / CAN architecture fundamentals.
- IPv4 Subnetting.
- IPv4 addressing and address schema.
- Basic network services such as SSH, DNS, DHCP, NTP, and LDAP.
- Basic LAN services such as VLAN, STP / MST, and trunking.
- Cybersecurity fundamentals.
- IT Industry terminology.
- IT troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
- Effective oral and written communication.
