Job Description
The Heavy Construction Pipe Foreman will assist in the supervision and installation of underground pipe including: storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water line, box culverts, inlets, and manholes. The Foreman will also be responsible for the oversight of a 2-7 person crew. This position reports directly to the Superintendent.
Job Duties
- Highly Motivated and Self-Driven work ethic.
- Coordinates and supervises daily activities of a 2 – 7 person crew.
- Continually inspects work site, surveying for potential hazards or safety concerns.
- Responsible for crew safety. Establishes safe work environment that complies with the Company safety regulations.
- Observes assigned equipment to detect machinery malfunctions. Assures the proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Analyzes project plans
- The Pipe Foreman must be able to climb on and off heavy mobile equipment safely.
- Ability to lift and carry, on a frequent basis, at least 50 pounds and, at times, as much as 90 pounds
- Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high levels of noise, grease, and dust that are typically associated with a construction project.
- Employee regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.92 - $37.24 per hour
