An Early Interventionist plays a crucial role in supporting children who require additional assistance in their developmental journey. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment. Candidates should be interested in working 1 on 1 with children on the Autism Spectrum providing playful therapy sessions to facilitate learning through fun and curiosity.
This unique and demanding position requires a diverse set of skills to really thrive in the role, and our goal is to attract and retain the best people as we recognize this is essential to your success. Candidates with Bachelor's degree (although not required) and childcare experience have the opportunity to earn $20 per hour as a Level 1 RBT (typically within 90 days of hire date).
Candidate Qualifications:
- Background in childcare or early childhood education is highly desirable
- Must love working with children, be self-motivated, creative, enthusiastic, patient and caring
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Reliable attendance and excellent time management
- Applicants must hold a minimum of a High School Diploma
- Consent to a criminal background check
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized programs for children with Autism using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
- Collect data related to customized treatment plan goals unique to the needs of each child in order to track progress and response to treatment
- Utilize organizational skills to maintain data collection and required daily medical records
- Collaborate with a diverse ABA therapy team including Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Registered Behavior Technicians and Speech Pathologist
- Ability to physically engage with children; kneeling, bending and lifting when necessary
