Estate and Probate Paralegal
Work Life balance & great benefits! Firm in Hartford County, Connecticut is looking for a full-time estate and probate paralegal to join its team. The successful candidate will have 1-3 years of paralegal or office experience and the strong desire to learn estate planning and probate matters. This candidate must have experience with drafting legal documents and familiarity with estate planning and probate procedures. A candidate with social security disability experience is a plus. Additional skills in the following areas will help the candidate succeed. Efficiency and mastery of Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as familiarity with matter management systems, specifically, CLIO. This candidate must master the ability to convey compassion with clients as this job has a high demand for client contact. Candidate must be able to learn quickly and want to support both the attorney and the client. Excellent organizational skills are needed as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Being detail oriented, highly organized and having the ability to adapt to and learn firm procedures and master matrices to usher a client though complex planning solutions. We offer a warm and inviting, yet professional and well-paced environment, where all team members are fully supportive of one another and our clients. This position is full time, Monday – Friday. We offer salary commensurate with experience, Simple IRA, health and dental insurance, paid time off, and flexibility in the work week. However, this is not a starter position. Remote work is not offered. Candidate must have completed at least 2 years of college, have no less than 2 years of experience as a paralegal in the estate planning and probate matter context, or completion of educational courses for paralegals in these industries.
