Disability Resources, Inc., is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that supports a community designed to enhance the lives of adults with intellectual disabilities. We are located in the great state of Texas and are currently seeking a relationship builder and difference maker as a QIDP- Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional. Disability Resources, Inc. provides industry-leading services to our residents such as; helping residents develop their life skills, providing required medical care, a variety of therapies, offering spiritual opportunities for growth, and encouraging healthy lifestyles.

We are growing and adding positions to our team! The job duties for the position of QIDP- Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional are listed below.

Job Summary: The QIDP- Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional assumes the following job duties…

· Attends all applicable meetings scheduled by DRI leadership

· Remains up to date on all email correspondence daily

· Checks behavior reports in Adaptive daily

· Checks progress notes as appropriate (at minimum, weekly)

· Corresponds with Director of Residential Services or House Managers as appropriate for situations that need be addressed

· Follows up with Nurses or consultants on an as needed basis for situations that need be addressed

· Corresponds with families as needed

· Schedules & conducts IDT meetings as appropriate to address behavioral or medical issues

· Maintains an up to date desk calendar daily tasks, meetings, or appointments

· Staff training on active treatment, behavior interventions, client rights as needed

· Observations in homes or Activity Center as needed

· Monthly Progress reviews to be completed by the 7th of the following month

· Quarterly reviews to be completed within one week of meeting

· Annual Staffing’s to be completed annually

· Develops & implements Individual Program Plan

· Ensures In-Services are completed & returned in timely manner

· Updates Annual Staffing Schedule, Guardianship Expiration date list

· Health Survey preparation is completed a minimum of one month prior to survey due date (ICF-annually, ALF-every 2 years)

· Entrance and exit conferences with HHSC Surveyors for annual surveys or investigations

· Conducts specially constituted committee meetings for psychotropic medications, behavior support plans, or any rights issues annually or as needed

· Reviews application packets for potential clients & coordinates with outside agencies if needed

· Coordinates admission process to meet regulatory guidelines

· Develops discharge plans as needed for individuals whose needs can no longer be met at DRI

· Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

· This position does not exercise supervisory responsibilities

· Knowledge of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) process

· Knowledge of state and federal regulations for ICF & ALF programs

· Ability to facilitate & lead IDT meetings to ensure participation with all members to achieve desired outcomes

· Ability to use applicable technology for communication, documentation, & reporting

Education:

· Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to human services or developmental disabilities; Must meet State and Federal requirements as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional

· 1 -3 years experience dealing with people with intellectual disabilities or developmental disabilities

· Must be able to communicate, read, speak, write the English Language

· Must pass background check, drug tests and other screening tests

· Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License

· CPR certification - required

· Proficient computer skills- required

· Attendance and punctuality - a must

· Valid driver’s license - required

Environmental and Working Conditions:You will workatmultiple locations within the community campus. There may be times you attend off campus activities.

Physical and Mental Effort: Sitting, standing need to lift, pull, carry, and push items weighing up to fifty pounds. Frequent need to stoop, kneel, and reaching. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to utilize practical common sense and critical thinking is required.

Schedule:Work schedule would be typical Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
