Job Overview
The Technical Lead is responsible for setting up and operating small to large-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment. They ensure complete customer satisfaction and report directly to an Operations Manager or Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of intermediate audiovisual equipment.
- Ensure equipment security from theft and/or damage when in use.
- Meet with guests on site to guarantee their needs are met, and the equipment setup is working properly.
- Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day.
- Understand technical aspects and demonstrate operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues.
- Anticipate equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
- Interact with other staff and outside vendors for equipment.
- Increase revenue by utilizing floor up-selling techniques.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of audio-visual experience.
- Internal applicants must meet all training and certification requirements as determined by Encore's Global Learning Training Program. External applicants must validate and achieve all required training and certifications within 60 days.
Work Environment
The position requires working in a hotel/convention center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand, and/or dust. Team members will use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components and be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders.
