Job Purpose
Responsible for identifying quality issues, establishing containment, developing, and implementing countermeasures to ensure acceptable quality for Honda products and parts. Lead the Quality team to ensure the quality of parts received and passed meet Honda standards. Ensure root cause analysis is appropriately applied and countermeasures implemented.
Key Accountabilities
- Daily GDP results – track daily results and apply countermeasures, as needed
- Monthly Quality results – role up and present to Dept Leadership
- Coordinate & lead plant-wide countermeasure activities, recommend a permanent countermeasure based on investigation and analysis which include a design change, modification of a supplier part or an in-house die modification.
- Evaluate proposed countermeasures, judge their effectiveness once implemented, and manage change point control
- Resolve quality related concerns from parts received from other Honda companies
- Monitor the development, testing, and procedure methods for quality verification to applying measures, sampling methods, testing methodology and other procedures to ensure quality standards are met
- Provide technical support throughout die trials and crisis activity, as needed
- Conduct Plan / Do / Check / Act for not achieving key performance indicators & set countermeasure plan to achieve plan
- Develop & create department key performance indicators per KI to achieve Quality targets
- Create & Develop Business Plan themes to achieve quality key performance indicators & track monthly for analysis & countermeasure activity
