Description : ABOUT THE ROLE
Holcim is recruiting full-time hourly Quality Control Lab Tech at their McKinney Lab.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- collects and test concrete and aggregate samples using routine methods and basic arithmetic computations
- must adhere to all local, state, MSHA and environmental regulations as outlined in the Employee Safe Work Guidelines booklet, and any / all rules or information provided by the Company or customer sites
- performs all responsibilities safely
- performing routine testing of aggregate samples (quartering samples, running gradations, washes, moistures and picking deleterious
- performing basic concrete QC tests slump, air, temperature, sampling, cylinders and unit weight
- testing concrete strength specimens
- assisting in the preparation and testing of laboratory concrete trial batches
- entering data into the aggregate and concrete quality reporting system
- calibrating lab equipment
- performing routine housekeeping of laboratory
- performing all other projects and duties as assigned by the supervisor
