**Job Title:** Technical Specialist
**Reports to:** Associate Director of Project Management or Director of Project Management
The Technical Specialist is responsible for the technical setup and operation of enhanced mid-level production events in a hospitality environment, ensuring utmost client satisfaction.
**Key Job Responsibilities:
- Equipment Operation:
- Set up, operate, and break down advanced audiovisual equipment accurately and on time.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly.
- Comply with all company security and safety measures.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent service and strive to exceed internal and external customers' expectations.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication.
- Collaborate with internal team members on event solutions pre-event and during the event.
- Training/Staff Development:
- Create an atmosphere that fosters technical and leadership skill development in other employees.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to technical, sales, and operations team members.
- Stay current with technology and industry trends.
- Event Supervision:
- Perform advanced work with operations team members before, during, and after the event.
- Supervise and direct other technicians during an event.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Assist the team with equipment security, storage, inventory, transportation, and maintenance.
- Perform inventory and forecasting of equipment needs.
**Job Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- 3 years of event technology experience with specialization in Audio, Lighting, Projection, or Video required.
- 3-4 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
- Internal Team Members must meet training requirements to be eligible for this role.
**Work Environment:** Hotel. Work performed in a hotel/convention center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and dirt, sand, and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members will use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components and will be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders.
