DISC Village, is a private, non-profit community-based agency, that has been in operation for over 50 years. Through the years, DISC Village has become recognized as a leader in the state for initiating, managing and coordinating substance abuse prevention/intervention, family welfare and delinquency programs in Leon County and North Florida.
We are looking to fill a full time Dependency Case Manager Specialist position in our Gadsden County office.
Dependency Case Management Services: DISC Village Inc., strives to provide the highest quality of child welfare prevention and intervention services to children and their families within their communities of Wakulla/Franklin Counties and Gadsden/Liberty Counties. Our program is designed to provide a continuum of services that assist families with acute or chronic conditions that threaten child safety and family stability.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Missing Child Reporting System.
- Review all court proceedings to ensure timely execution of permanency plans and participate in hearings to provide recommendations.
- Conduct home studies for placements from other states.
- Track and manage all requests for incoming and outgoing Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) packets, ensuring completeness.
- Serve as the point of contact for all incoming and outgoing Courtesy Packets within the state of Florida.
- Complete all requests for home studies.
- Perform Pro Se functions as required in the assigned area.
- Review court orders to ensure reasonable efforts are made to finalize permanency plans.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health, or a related field.
- Must obtain Child Welfare Case Manager Certification through the Florida Certification Board.
- Proficiency in the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS).
