Agency Overview:
DISC Village, is a private, non-profit community-based agency, that has been in operation for over 50 years. Through the years, DISC Village has become recognized as a leader in the state for initiating, managing and coordinating substance abuse prevention/intervention, family welfare and delinquency programs in Leon County and North Florida.
We are looking for a Supervisor for our Family Intensive Treatment (FIT) program: FIT provides intensive, in-home, services to parents involved in the child welfare system with substance use to help parents achieve permanency for their children. FIT provides services in Leon, Wakulla, Franklin, Gadsden, Liberty, Jefferson, Madison and Taylor counties.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Screen all referrals for program eligibility, draft Decision Letters, communicate with referral source and/or child welfare professional regarding the decision and document decisions via FSFN and emails.
- Maintain the FIT Waitlist by coordinating interim services when needed, making sure weekly contact is made with clients on the Waitlist, and communicating changes to Waitlist status with child welfare professionals and/or referral sources.
- Facilitate weekly staff meetings to review cases, provide supervision, and facilitate in-program trainings as needed.
- Ensure that all program services are provided to all FIT clients in the service area by assigning staff to clients, managing staff caseloads, and monitoring the quality of care to recess the need for additional support and services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with system partners, including but not limited to: the Department of Children and Families, Big Bend Community Based Care, Community Based Care providers, Case Management Organizations, the Guardian ad Litem program, attorneys, and judicial leadership.
- Provide direct supervision to FIT Counselors, Case Managers and Peer Support Specialists. Responsible for hiring, training, evaluating, and disciplining staff.
- Travel required between offices, and other sites including homes, schools and community locations where clients are served.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in behavioral health sciences, such as psychology, mental health counseling, social work, art therapy, or marriage and family therapy;
- Have an active license issued by the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology;
- A minimum of three years working with adults with substance use disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have a valid Florida driver’s license and applicable state required car insurance.
