Seamstress/Tailor

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and a strong understanding of garment construction. As a Tailor, you will be responsible for altering, repairing, and creating garments to meet customer specifications while providing exceptional customer service. Your expertise in sewing techniques and attention to detail will ensure that every piece meets the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform alterations and repairs on various types of garments, ensuring a perfect fit for customers.
• Utilize sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to execute alterations with precision.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide recommendations for garment adjustments.
• Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available.
• Conduct fittings with customers to assess the fit of garments and make necessary adjustments.
• Keep up-to-date with current fashion trends and techniques in garment construction.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues related to alterations or repairs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Tailor or in a similar role within the fashion retail industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques is essential.
• Strong understanding of garment construction principles and fabric types.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating fabric requirements accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail with a keen eye for quality workmanship.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
