Customer Service Associate

Discount Dave’s Carpet & Flooring is looking to add to our team of flooring sales professionals. Customer service and sales skills are a must. While flooring experience is preferred, it is not required as on the job training will be provided. Pay includes hourly as well as commission.

Responsibilities

• Greeting clients, educating them on products, and assisting them with design needs.
• Working with clients to select products and schedule appointments.
• Completing proposals, bids, and sales orders for clients.
• Building and retaining client relationships from inception to project completion.
• Effectively working with associates to complete daily company activities.
• Engaging in continual education to improve knowledge of industry products and practices.
• Assisting with cleaning and maintaining showrooms, products, samples, and displays.
• Operating fork lift and pallet jacks in a safe manner to handle heavy materials
• Loading and unloading trucks

Employer Preferences

• Basic knowledge of floor covering products (carpet, hardwood, vinyl, laminate and tile) is a strong benefit, but is not required as on the job training is provided.
• Customer service experience of some variety is a must. Strong communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Effective time management and organization skills.
