Retail Sales Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate at our vitamin supplement and sports nutrition store, to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, handling transactions, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Process transactions accurately using the Square Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring efficient cash handling.
• Utilize 3rd party shipping application (Shippo) to fulfill and or manage orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves and arranging displays.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and courtesy.
• Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and improve store performance.
• Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
• Uphold company policies regarding phone etiquette and customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred, particularly in a grocery store setting.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also demonstrating initiative.
• Familiarity with Square and Clover POS systems is required.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
