Essential Duties And Responsibilities
This position requires an associate's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
Work Days
Normal work days are Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays and Sundays may be necessary.
Work Hours
Normal work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be necessary

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Creates, documents, and maintains basic test plans, test scripts, and test cases.
- Follows mapped business and technical requirements into test suites, test cases, and test scripts.
- Validates new software in the production environment and performs product testing using established procedures.
- Uses tools like Qtest to document test results and JIRA to log and track defects.
- Identifies and documents basic defects, questionable functions, errors and inconsistencies in software program functions, including, but not limited to, outputs, online screens, content and security.
- Assists in maintaining quality standards and procedures as directed by supervisors.
- Provides support by answering questions related to QA processes, procedures, and services within defined parameters.
- Completes work in a timely and accurate manner while providing exceptional customer service.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Preference of a minimum of one year of experience in the Information Technology industry with exposure to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Proficiency in executing automated scripts, manual tests, and relational database queries.
- Experience with defect management tools (e.g., JIRA) and change management tools (e.g., SVN, Git).
- Knowledge of software testing tools like Qtest and familiarity with testing standards and practices.
- Understanding of software requirements review, risk analysis, and specification documentation.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to review testing data and identify trends based on predefined guidelines and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate-level computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Works successfully in a team environment and follows assigned tasks independently.
- Exceptional customer service skills, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor while managing customer interactions.
- Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
