Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent service to all students, families, co-workers, and school administration.
- Meet the physical, emotional, and educational needs of the children in their care.
- Work in a team environment; build and maintain healthy, cooperative relationships.
- Communicate positively and effectively with the Site Director.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures both organizationally and departmentally to ensure the safety of children, parents, and staff.
- Model positive behavior and educate children in a manner which contributes to mature and responsible behavior.
- Complete all Discover After School and governmentally required training in the required time frame.
- Implement the curriculum and schedule provided on a daily basis and provide feedback to such on a weekly basis.
Qualifications:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma.
- Satisfactory Criminal Background Screening & Drug Screenings
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (Employees are responsible for all cost incurred)
- Completion of 45 Hours of DCF Child Care Training (Preferred)
Skills:
- Eagerness to learn.
- Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills in English is required.
- Bilingual, with proficiency in both English and Spanish is a plus.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, patient, responsible, and dedicated to enhancing program performance and impact.
- Strong communication skills for interactions with children and administration.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities for daily challenges.

Job Type: Part-time

Dates: June 2nd - August 1st
- Paid summer camp training will be provided before start of camp. More details will be available soon.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday
- Morning Shift : 7:00AM - 12:45PM
- Afternoon Shift: 12:15PM - 6:00PM
- Hourly availability may vary based on fluctuations in enrollment and active student numbers.
- **This position is seasonal but permanent opportunities are available.**
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Experience with Children: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Completion of 45 Hours of DCF Child Care Training (Preferred)
