At Discover Financial Services, we're looking for a talented Digital Banking Specialist to join our team. As a Digital Banking Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of products assigned to your team.
You will collaborate with product managers and peers to execute on a broad range of projects for our digital products, including feature enhancements and technical solution development. You will use Java Spring Boot, Security libraries, and Certificate management, as well as modern CI/CD developer toolkits like STS/IntelliJ, Cloud Development, GitHub, Jenkins, and Nexus.
Job Objectives:
- Develop and implement secure, scalable, and reliable Java applications.
- Design and build technical solutions for digital products.
- Collaborate with product managers and peers to execute on project plans.
- Guide early-career engineers and contribute to technology communities of practice.
- Enforce IT standards and ensure compatibility with platform architecture.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, Information Security, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Internal applicants only: Dreyfus Rating – Competent on the Dreyfus Engineer scale.
