Automation Engineer – Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing

What You’ll Do:
🔹 Develop & Maintain Automation Systems – Work on HMI, PLCs, BMS, and SCADA systems to enhance process control automation.
🔹 System Configuration & Troubleshooting – Perform code configuration, document updates, and test execution for various process areas.
🔹 Compliance & Quality Support – Manage deviations, CAPAs, and change controls to maintain compliance readiness.
🔹 Project Leadership – Support new product and technology introductions, perform automation assessments, and implement system configuration changes.
🔹 Operational Support – Provide 24/7 on-call support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for automation systems.
🔹 Collaboration & Training – Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Validation teams while providing training and guidance on automation solutions.
🔹 Network & Security Integration – Ensure automation systems align with network protocols and cybersecurity standards in collaboration with IT teams.
🔹 Vendor & Contract Management – Oversee contracted service providers to ensure regulatory compliance and cost-effectiveness.
What You Bring:
✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
✔️ 3 years of experience in Automation, Instrumentation & Controls, or relevant technical roles.
✔️ Strong understanding of manufacturing process controls, automation, and instrumentation technologies.
✔️ Experience with Process Control Network design, virtualization, OPC, and DeviceNet.
✔️ Background in Capital Project Lifecycle Management, including design, validation, and implementation.
Preferred Qualifications:
✅ Hands-on experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing automation, including BMS/EMS, bioreactors, chromatography, and filtration.
✅ Knowledge of GAMP, GMP, and regulatory standards (21 CFR Part 11, S88, ISA95, ISPE GAMP-5).
